Pierce Brosnan was born in Navan, County Meath, Ireland on May 16, 1953 but moved to England, UK at an early age (thus explaining his ability to play men from both backgrounds convincely). His father left the household when Pierce was a child and although reunited later in life the two have never had a close relationship. His current, and most popular role is that of British Secret Agent, James Bond. The death, in 1991, of his wife Cassandra of ten years, left him with three children--Christopher and Charlotte from Cassandra's first marriage and Sean from their marriage.

On 4th August 2001 he married former model and TV reporter Keely Shaye Smith at a romantic Irish abbey. The couple has two sons together, Dylan, 4, and Paris, who was born in February and christened in a ceremony at the abbey on the eve of the wedding.

Pierce Brosnan was chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world (1991 and 1996 years).
